In Q4 2023, the performance of consumer finance applications on the Android platform in Switzerland revealed interesting trends. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the market dynamics among the top five apps: Google Wallet, Tricount - Split group bills, Splitwise, Samsung Wallet/Pay (Watch), and Splid – Split group bills.

Google Wallet experienced consistent download numbers, starting at around 3.2K and closing the quarter at approximately 3.1K. Weekly active users saw a noticeable increase, peaking at around 34.7K in late November before settling at about 31.8K by the end of December.

Tricount - Split group bills saw a decline in downloads throughout the quarter, starting at 1.1K and dropping to 529 in mid-December, before a spike to 1.2K in the final week. Revenue followed a similar trend, peaking at $222 early in the quarter and dipping to $104 by mid-December, with a slight recovery to $176 in the last week. Active users fluctuated, ending the quarter with around 3.7K users.

Splitwise had a varied quarter with downloads starting at 936 and dropping to 396 before rising to 907 in the final week. Revenue peaked twice, first at $269 in early October and again at $267 in mid-December. The active user base showed a downward trend, starting at 6.7K and ending the quarter at about 5.3K.

Samsung Wallet/Pay (Watch) showed modest download numbers, beginning at 480 and ending with a significant increase to 828 in the last week of December. The active user count also saw a substantial rise from 833 at the start to 1.3K by the end of the quarter.

Splid – Split group bills started the quarter with around 435 downloads and saw a notable increase to 455 in the final week. Revenue was relatively steady, with a peak of $142 in early October and ending at $138. Active users started at 2.7K and ended the quarter with an increase to 2.5K.
